the experience

Whether the child sitting in front of me is shy, silly, happy, serious, spunky...the goal of my school portraits is to capture a taste of each child's unique personality at every stage. Unlike traditional school portraits, I spend a few extra moments with each child to interact with them and help them feel more comfortable in front of my camera. We play and laugh and try a variety of expressions to capture the joy and innocence of each child.

Schools can choose from indoor studio portraits (includes color and black and white) or colorful outdoor portraits on their school grounds. Note, outdoor portraits will be weather permitting.

Scheduling a school portrait date is free to the school (no sitting fee). When photos are edited and ready to deliver, they are organized into separate online password-protected galleries based on what's best for each school (by class, grade, etc.). I will provide gallery links and passwords for the school to send the parents. After that, all digital and print purchases are done by families directly through the galleries. No hassle for the school and easy, direct purchasing for the parents.

Every parent deserves portraits of their child that captures their unique personality with a photographer that cares about the details. Little things like brushing hair out of their face and taking an extra moment to make them laugh for a real smile are details that set my school portraits apart from the traditional "say cheese" portraits. All of my work has a personal touch that you can feel in every image.
