It’s been a joy to watch this family grow! My first Fall Mini Session with them was as a family of three. I was so excited to capture their family photos again this fall as a family of four! These two brothers are so stinkin cute!! This year we captured their family portraits on the beautiful hillside of Smith Park in Brentwood, Tennessee at sunset during this year’s first round of Fall Minis.

As always, I love sharing a few behind the scenes insights into how we got the giggles and smiles you see in the photos below. These particular adorable smiles and sweet giggles are brought to you by lots of tickles and dad yelling “stinky butts!!” in the background 🤣 Hey…whatever it takes to get that belly laugh! I’m here for it!!
It was so much fun capturing some sweet candid shots of them playing and lovin on each other, too. As a family photographer, I prompt my clients for the basic shots I capture at every family session but I’m always on the look out for those authentic in between moments of genuine connection and snap away often when they don’t even notice. The results are so sweet and so perfect! Hugs on mom, little smirks, holding hands, snuggling, playing, tickles…all things I look for the entire session, especially when “the pose” is over and we are transitioning to a new one.
